2018 marks the 7th year of Europe’s largest cybersecurity summit, which features three conferences, a GDPR clinic, training sessions, 100 speakers and 14 roundtable discussions.
Here, you’ll find information on the predicted future of cyber crime, best practices for building a corporate culture of cybersecurity, a focus on the cloud and the IoT and more. What’s more, attendance at the event is CPD-certified.

The sophomore year for this conference held by the Ethical Hacking Society at Abertay University, Scotland. If you’ve got an interest in Hacking and Information Security, this two days of talks and workshops is well worth a look. “In a world of predators, master your survival skills.” Overdramatic strap lines aside, this annual conference at the ExCel in London explores cloud security strategies, the security of things and, of course, GDPR. The Expo is co-located with Cloud Expo Europe, Big Data World, Smart IoT and Data Centre World so you get plenty of bang for your buck (or lack thereof, the event is totally free).
CISO Summit

World Cybersecurity Congress

CYBERUK 2018

The only UK Government-hosted event for this sector CYBERUK 2018 will focus on strategy and delivery of cyber security solutions for UK businesses. Cyber Security Manchester

Cyber Security Manchester at IP EXPO Manchester offers invaluable cyber security insight for both IT managers and cyber security specialists. The event focuses on cyber security and risk mitigation, from perimeter firewalls to the latest threat intelligence solutions and this year features keynotes from Former Director GCHQ, Robert Hannigan.
CSIT 2018

Head to Copenhagen in April for the 5th International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology: a conference that blends academia with industry to share cutting-edge developments in the field.
Last year’s conference in Dubai featured speakers from everywhere from India to Iraq with topics covering encryption, blockchain, algorithms and more – and this year’s papers promise to be just as diverse.
Infosecurity Europe

Taking place in New York in June and Santa Clara in November, the Digital Transformation World Expo combines a conference, exhibition floor and Demo Theater for a comprehensive introduction to the world’s latest technologies.

The 20th International Conference on Cyber Security Exercises brings together scientists, researchers and practitioners to talk subjects as diverse as cybersecurity and crisis management exercises, handling PR and media in the case of major cyber incidents, and breach notification.
In previous years, presentations have covered a huge number of different industries – and we’re expecting more of the same for 2018.
Bsides London

The UK’s biggest community-driven infosec conference is “open to all regardless of background, skill level, income or job-title”. No official announcements as of yet, but the calls for presentations, rookie talks and workshops will be progressively announced over the next few weeks. Also, we’ll be there. Come and say hi!
Black Hat USA
Date: August 4th – 9th

This leading information security event is now in its 21st year, with four days of technical training followed by a two-day conference.
Last year, delegates could network with over 15,000 information security professionals in the Business Hall and learn about the latest risks and trends at the Black Hat Briefings. Topics including simulated attacks, the security of machine learning and the vulnerabilities of network automation.
The training sessions (available at an extra cost) are well-attended too, with 2017 featuring everything from adaptive penetration testing to Windows kernel rootkit techniques.
Information Security Network
Date: September 16th – 18th
Where: Windsor, London

While many events focus on getting the numbers in, Information Security Network focuses on getting the right ones there. Details are thin on the ground (unless you already have an invite), but hosts The Network Group, promise keynotes, workshops, interactive discussion groups, one-to-one meetings and quality networking, all exclusively aimed at CISOs and Heads of Information Security.
Security of Things World USA
Date: September 16th – 18th

Describing itself as ‘THE forum for IT, OT, IoT and Cyber Security experts’, Security of Things World returns after a successful 2017 event addressing security concerns relating to IoT implementation.
Key themes for this year include business continuity management, bringing security to the Cloud, IoT security strategy talks and safeguarding enterprise data, with last year’s speakers and moderators coming from corporates including Amazon, BP, GM and Verizon. 2016 featured 102 leading experts, 80 companies, 40 speakers and moderators and representatives from 20 countries.
SECURWARE 2018

The Twelfth International Conference on Emerging Security Information, Systems and Technologies features 22 different conference tracks in 2018, ranging from security challenges to new technologies, to cryptography, malware, anti-malware, security frameworks, architectures and protocols.
Alongside the presentation of research papers, delegates can expect a number of in-depth tutorials. Last year these included ‘The role of culture within Green IT’, and ‘Wireless Sensors and Big Data Analytics: A Focus on Health Monitoring and Civil Infrastructures’.

The 2017 Cyber Security Summit & Expo was attended by major brands including RBS, Unilever, Amazon and HMRC, and featured speakers from the Financial Conduct Authority, the Institute of Information Security Professionals, the National Crime Agency and more.
The conference is the largest one-day event focused on cyber risk management and prevention for UK businesses, and this year the Summit and Expo sits alongside a new Data Protection conference – perfect with the advent of GDPR in May.
Black Hat Europe
